چکیده
This paper discusses design methodologies and frequency analysis of two stage and three stage i.e. multistage CMOS operational amplifiers and analyse the effect of various parameters on the characteristics of operational amplifiers using submicron CMOS spice models specifically 300 nm C5 process CMOS technology. In this paper response curves are plotted for AC characteristics of 4 different topologies of 2 stage operational amplifiers are tabulated for suitable frequency ranges. Transients are also plotted from nanoseconds scale to microseconds scale. Subsequently FFTs are also tabulated at frequency range from 1 MHz to 25 GHz. By results and reasons it shows that two stage and three stage topologies are suitable choices for low voltage and high performance applications.

This paper deals with well-defined design criteria for ultra low power two stage CMOS operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) with simple yet robust implementation in nm dimension. A simple design approach which allows electrical parameters to be univocally related to each circuit element and biasing values for low frequency applications is presented. The operational transconductance ampl...
متن کاملOperational Amplifier with Two-Stage Gain-Boost
In this paper we present a three-stage fully differential operational amplifier in 120nm digital CMOS. To reach high gain gain-boosted cascodes in the first stage are used. The gain-boost amplifiers are realized as two-stage amplifiers with self cascodes. A DC gain of 108dB and an unity-gain frequency of 1.06GHz are achieved at 1.2V supply. The operational amplifier is appropriate for supply vo...
متن کاملFrequency Compensation of Two Stage Op-Amp using Triode Mode Compensation Stage
A frequency compensation technique for the improvement of unity gain bandwidth (UGB) and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of two stage operational amplifiers is presented in this paper. Performance of proposed op-amp is compared with classical miller compensated op-amp and op-amp proposed by G. Blakiewicz [13]. The technique exploits the triode mode operation of a MOSFET in the compensation ...
متن کاملCMOS Active-Cascode Gain Stage
An s-domain analysis of the full dynamics of the pole-zero pair (frequency doublet) associated with the broadly used CMOS active-cascode gain-enhancement technique is presented. Quantitative results show that three scenarios can arise for the settling behavior of a closed-loop active-cascode operational amplifier depending on the relative locations of the unity-gain frequencies of the auxiliary...
متن کاملThree-stage Nested Miller Low-Voltage Amplifier
This report presents a low voltage, Nested Miller Compensation (NMC) topology. It consists of two non-inverting amplifiers for the first two stages and an inverting amplifier for the output stage. Two miller capacitors are used for stability of the circuit. This design is attractive in a way that it is a straight forward circuit without any complexity while achieving a high gain, high unity gai...
